Whitestone - A developer bought the Rice University land right down from my house and has ambitious plans to turn it into a master-planned community of 4,000 homes. They recently flattened many acres of timber, which has completely changed the scenes going into Roman Forest. The plans and P.R. hype are here.

Montgomery County Appraisal District (MCAD) - Great site, ask me how I saved $24,000 on my appraisal this year.

Montgomery County Tax Assessor - Good site for finding out how much any property is taxed in Montgomery County. It also is good to check up on your mortgage company to make sure they've paid the taxes on your behalf.

HAR.Com - Find out how much your neighbor is selling his house for! There are tons of houses on the market right now in Roman Forest. They must have gotten their property tax bill.

Texas A&M University - Couldn't resist giving my alum a good plug.
