[Comments regarding the liberal/conservative stance on global warming]

[Here Braveheart addresses the section titled “thirdly” in my 8/18/08 response to him.]

Liberals do not claim that individual humans control weather, they claim that humans collectively control weather. I suspect that many know the proposition of human caused global warming is bogus but will use it to further their Marxist/socialistic agenda in gaining control of people and removal of their freedoms. For example freedom loss to travel, keeping warm, food quantity & etc., from expensive energy, freedom loss of property ownership thru condemnation & confiscation, freedom loss of property use by govt. planning & zoning, freedom losses from big, bloated government that is gobbling up our monetary value thru over taxation and inflation caused by deficit spending, money it doesn't have, & etc. [1]

Many of those who believe in human caused global warming would answer, "a consensus of scientists agree with the theory of human caused global warming". The word "consensus" is a word of opinion and is reached thru voting, which is not a scientific method of evidence verification. The word "theory" is about "theorizing" to a "theoretical" "explanation", for human caused global warming, "planned or worked out in the mind", "not from experience", "based on theory", "not fact" & "limited to theory". See dictionary. [2]

I am not arguing that humans cannot and/or are not having a "deleterious effect on the environment". I observe evidence that generally the effects of human activity are localized such as smog at the Olympics in Beijing, radioactivity around Chernobyl Russia, and regional climate change where the rain forests are destroyed. What I question is that the global cooling/warming cycles are human caused/determined. Where is the science & evidence "validation"? I believe we are "stewards" of the earth and as such we should work on improving these misuses of resources. Serious environmental protection efforts are needed without the global catastrophe hysteria.  [3]

[Comments regarding God and the Bible]

Re:  As an Aside about God

God has "poured out his Spirit upon all flesh". See the prophecy in Joel 2 and the beginning of the fulfillment in Acts 2. You, my friend, have received a portion of His Spirit & "true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world". John 1:9 When you go camping, hiking & etc. in nature you are being drawn to that "spirit" & you can know God from nature alone. Contemplative time spent along a stream, the view from a mountain top, enjoying a sunset, walking on an ocean beach, star gazing at night, all speak of a "spiritual" experience that is not scientifically provable. Consider what you do in life, for example, why are you volunteering at the food bank? It is evidence of non-self centeredness. The Truth of a creator & creation will win, it will just be too late for believers of TOE to change their mind and communicate with God, getting to know His "higher intelligence".  [4]

God speaks to you thru your conscience. Think back on your life to times when you argued with yourself about whether something you wanted to do was right or wrong. To have an argument with yourself, there has to be two sources of thought. The bible speaks of this duality of man. We have an "outer" flesh man and an "inner" spiritual man who is our moral compass if we will listen. These concepts (conscience & nature) have nothing to do with "emotions", "religious dogma" , denominational teachings or requirements and are seldom, if ever, taught in organized churches. It would be hard to find evidence that my beliefs come from religious organization requirements or teachings, & dogma since I haven't been a member of an organized (incorporated) church for over 25 years. This understanding (of God & His communication with us) caused a "Christian" church to ask me to leave or go on trial. [5]

As for my assertion that ultimately God controls everything. God held Himself personally "accountable" for all the evil in the world by condescending to become and live as a created human being and die to redeem the human race, the kingdom of this world, and its dominion that Adam & Eve sold out to Lucifer. "By one man sin entered the world & death by sin, so death passed upon all men" so, "by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous", "they who receive the abundance of grace (forgiveness) shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ". (Rom 5: 12-19) The evidence was 100' s of eye witnesses to Christ (& others) having risen from the dead. What is TOE's promise of future life?

If the world & humanity could be lost & and die thru the disobedience of one man then the world & humanity could be saved & eternal life restored thru the obedience and death of one man.  Ibid. [6]

God defeated Lucifer (John 12:31) on our behalf through living a perfectly innocent life for us, a life which we could never live, since we are born selfish. With His (Christ's) life & death in innocence he "reconciled" the whole world back to Himself 2 Corinthians 5: 17 – 21 [7]

All God asks us to do is to believe Him when He says that He acted on our behalf - John 3: 16-21 [8]

V16 "For God so loved the world"... God acted from the motivation of love.  [9]

V 17 "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved". God does not condemn people, He condemns sin, the self-centeredness of people. [10]

V 18 "He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God". This is about believing God.  [11]

V19 "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil". This is about man preferring self-centered, evil, deeds.

V20 "For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved". Those who prefer self-centeredness do not listen to the reproving (guilt) of their conscience.  [12]

V21 "But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they (his deeds) are wrought in God". "Deeds" for our salvation are "manifest" & "wrought" in God's mighty deeds on our behalf, not our own selfish tainted deeds. [13]

Lucifer, while defeated, is still active in this world & peoples lives, trying to bring death (separation from God's gift of life) to them through war, weather, abortion & every way possible. The catastrophes you mention are brought by Lucifer or the devil, "that great serpent". God has seen fit that this world continue that as many as possible might be born into this world & "come to a knowledge of the Truth" & get to know Him (God), which is eternal life. John 17:3 This is about coming to the meaning of our/their life, "who am I, why am I here, & where am I going?" If you haven't asked yourself these questions, now is the time. Soon we will go to a place (grave) where everything we believe is forever fixed.  [14]

If I am wrong about God, creation, & eternal life, I have had a better life here, living in hope, peace with my conscience, & neighbors, and will dwell eternally with my ancestors, same as all others. If you are wrong (about God, creation, & eternal life ) your life will have a unexplainable void here and where will you dwell in eternity? Will it matter that the theory of creation won, will you have time to change your beliefs & attitudes from which your actions spring? [15]
