For those of you who do not know me, my name is Jeff Cadenhead. I am the only grandson of Franklin Wesley Seckinger, Jr., and this site is devoted to his memory and the search for the one thing he held dear above anything else in the world: FAMILY.

My hope is that this site will give Seckingers everywhere the opportunity to get acquainted and build a sense of family among us. My line of Seckingers, like many others I have found, is dying out. It is comforting to know that there are others who will carry on the good name.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Judith Delaney and Paula Robbins for their tremendous contributions to the research involved in this site. They have been a great help, and I take full responsibility for the delays in getting this site up and running.

At times in the genealogy listing, there are references to my "original list." This refers to a listing of the family tree handed down to me by my grandfather. A note on this list says that Mrs. Dorothy (Seckinger) Tabiasson had a lawyer gather this information for her. The list appears to have been compiled sometime shortly after my birth (September 23, 1969), as my name was the latest addition to it.
