SHERIFF
SIMMS: Jesse
Lucas and Raynelle Buford are comin' in.
CARVER
TOOVEY: Dope-heads
and tattoo artists.
SIMMS: Sorry
it's not high-society enough for you.
CARVER:
Well,
it is a disappointment. But I still have hope a white-collar
killer might appear, 'specially where there's an
imaginary wad of money involved.
SIMMS: And,
of course, there's one other little issue.
CARVER: What's
that?
SIMMS: We
ain't got a B-O-D-Y!
CARVER: Are
you kiddin' me? No doubt in my mind. That woman ain't
comin' back. Even if she wanted to.
SIMMS: Have
some more whisky, Carver. And while you're at it,
take your black cloud someplace else. (waving
her hand as if she's shooting a fly, but we know
it's to her mama) Shit.
CARVER: I
may watch some of the questionin', if you don't mind. (sidling
up) Does that turn you on, sugar bean? Knowin'
I'm outside? Watchin' you?
SIMMS: (moving
closer, her voice sultry) You
repulse me, Carver. And don't you ever forget it.
CARVER: You
are one mean...nasty...dirty woman, Colleen.
