PLAYWRIGHT
Daryl Lisa Fazio

Daryl Fazio grew up in small-town Mississippi, attended Northwestern University for a degree in Theatre and the University of Memphis for an MFA in graphic design, and currently teaches design at Truman State University in Missouri.

Greyhounds was Daryl’s first play. Her second play, a one-act entitled Georgia Out of My Mind received its world premiere at the 2005 Minnesota Fringe Festival in Minneapolis.

Daryl recently completed the first-draft of Split, a three-act dramatic play set in the Mississippi Delta during the 1969 school integrations. In all of her work, she is committed to the mission of writing quality roles for women.

She'd like to thank Jesse, Cheri, and Heather for their dedicated and gifted work, her family for coming to see her plays--no matter how many times they have already, and Becky Becker for suggesting she write something in the first place.
