I have sustained an architectural practice throughout my academic career. While I have taken on some new-building designs, my emphasis has been and continues to be on older-building preservation and restoration. In some cases I have worked alone, but most often I have served as a consultant to a Mississippi firm. Typically I have assembled historic structure reports, which include building histories, fabric analyses, and assessments of current conditions, all leading to restoration philosophies and recommendations for work to be carried out.
